Partner , Oliver WymanDr. Sven-Olaf Vathje is a Partner in the Oliver Wyman Dubai office and has been working in the Middle East since 2004. He is dedicated to serving clients in insurance, SWFs and health care in Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
Sven-Olaf’s consulting work is spread across a broad range of topics, from corporate strategy to operations, risk management and organization. Recently he worked on insurance sector development opportunities resulting from coordination of public and private sector initiatives.
Over the last 25 years, Sven-Olaf has been advising some of the world’s largest insurers and reinsurers as well as financial regulators. He started his consulting career in Germany, then spent a few years in the U.S. before relocating to the Middle East in 2006.
Sven-Olaf graduated from the University of Tennessee (U.S.A.) with a Master’s degree in Economics. He also holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kiel (Germany).
