As Deloitte’s Emerging Technology and Innovation Leader for the United States, Combiz is responsible for helping governments and organizations to build and implement innovative and inclusive programs using new and emerging technologies.
He has served as a National Security Lawyer, Policy Advisor, Financial Regulator, and Chief Innovation Officer, advising Presidents, Cabinet-Level Secretaries, Senators, and Global CEOs on innovation issues.
He is a member of many financial sector focused organizations including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Expert Policy Advisory Board on Blockchain, Digital Assets, and AI. He also serves as Vice Chair and Head of FinTech for the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s Trade Finance Advisory Council.
Born in Texas, the son of immigrants from the Middle East, he is a graduate of UCLA, AUB, and Georgetown Law.
He is the recipient of the Federal 100 Award, recognizing the top 100 executives who’ve made the greatest impact in government. He has been acknowledged as one of the top 50 leaders working on U.S. national security and foreign policy by the CSIS-DINSN Power 50 List. Additionally, the World Economic Forum’s Agile 50 List has identified him as one of the world’s 50 most influential people driving innovation in government, regulation, and policymaking.
